New Learning Opportunity: Project Lead the Way!
This year, SPES is excited to bring Project Lead the Way to all students in grades K–5. Through hands-on STEM learning, students explore real-world problems, think like engineers and scientists, and build skills in creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking.
Book Clubs
Students in grades 3–5 can join our SPES Book Clubs to share their love of reading, explore new stories, and engage in meaningful discussions with friends. It’s a fun way to build community, strengthen reading skills, and discover the joy of books together!
Learning from Leaders
A favorite SPES tradition is partnering with The Citadel for their annual Leadership Day. Cadets visit our school to talk with students about what it means to be a leader, helping inspire confidence, character, and leadership skills in our learners.
Makerspace Magic in the Library
Students explore, create, and innovate with LEGOs, craft materials, robots, and more. Our Makerspace is a place where imagination comes to life and learning happens through hands-on fun!
Bringing the joy of reading to SPES!
Our amazing library hosts book fairs multiple times a year. This gives SPES students more opportunities to discover new stories, build their home libraries, and grow a lifelong love of reading!
Friday Team Spirit!
Every Friday, students and staff show their team pride by wearing their favorite shirts—whether it’s a local James Island team, a beloved college team, or a professional favorite. Go Team SPES!
Leaders in Action
SPES students take pride in leading by example and helping around the school—like these amazing volunteer Student Safety Patrols who keep our hallways safe and welcoming each day.
Boosterthon Fun Run
Each fall, SPES students, staff, and families come together for our annual Boosterthon fundraising event. This fun-filled day promotes school spirit, teamwork, and healthy movement—all while supporting important programs and initiatives at Stiles Point!
Learning is Fun!
SPES students dive into discovery through hands-on, interactive lessons—like these 4th graders dissecting squid in Science class. It’s learning that inspires curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for exploration!
Learning Beyond the Classroom
At SPES, we use our beautiful local area as an extended campus—like this field trip to the beach where students explored science in action. Hands-on, real-world learning makes lessons come alive!
